Oh 2018, you have been one for the books! Both personally and professionally, both good and bad, but I wouldn't change it for anything! If we don't endure challenges in our life how can we possibly grow as people? We do not know how strong we are until we are faced with obstacles and events that take us out of our comfort zone. One of my favorite yoga instructors on my Aaptiv app Ceasar F. Barajas (you can follow him on Instagram for major inspiration and great yoga classes on the Aaptiv App!) says all the time "in life, we do not lose-we either win or learn and to trust the journey." I swear I get chills every single time he says that!
Just a quick note that personally I have grown so much this year and have a new found appreciation for what life is all about. I have always believed that who you surround yourself with can definitely impact you either positively or negatively. I am so blessed to have an amazing family, awesome friends and the best clients and supporters I could ask for!
.
Which brings me to professionally. What an amazing 2018 I had! It began with the completion of the biggest project I had to date and it really came out so much better than I had imagined! You can see the full scope of it here and here. After that project, I refocused my business on what I wanted to represent. My specialty is simple living, natural elements, classic and comfortable design. Life is so crazy busy that your home needs to be your retreat. I am also a mother of two boys so I know that home needs to be one that can be "lived" in but a place where the adult style is present as well. As much as we love our little monsters, it can seem like our homes become overwhelmed with everything "kid". There can be a balance between the two!
Another change I put into place this year were the services I offered. I simplified it down to what I felt my prospective clients desired. There are so many wonderful DIYer's out there that have ideas but do not know where to begin. My simple design consultation gives you ideas but you get to enjoy the excitement of bringing it all together!
Here is a Design Board I just completed for a client looking for a basement refresh. (Actually, I feel like I'm doing a lot of basements lately since I am currently doing a full basement design that you can watch the behind the scenes on IG!) This gave the client an idea what to do with her space along with links for her to shop the exact items I selected for her!
The other service is for the ones that just want to sit back, relax and watch it all come to life-like watching HGTV haha! This is my full service package where I do it all for you! I create the design, like the master bedroom I just recently did, source the products and set it all up. The end part of styling your home is seriously my favorite part! I was recently at a clients house setting up her master bath and dining room (pics to come soon!) and she just said: "wow, I never could've done that!" That makes my heart happy!
.
I cannot state enough how truly blessed I feel being able to give you all a home that speaks to you and others when they come through your front door. A home that at the end of the day, you can take that deep breath and truly feel relaxed and calm. Life is known to throw us curve balls when we least expect it and if we do not have that home base to bring us some resolve, we are missing out.
.
From my heart to yours, I would like to wish you all a very happy and cozy holiday season. One filled with lots of love, joy, warm blankets and hot cocoa (or coffee haha). I thank you all for your continued support. I cannot wait to see what 2019 brings! I would love for you to follow along on my journey and see where it takes me on Facebook or IG!
